Hi!
A guest reserved my listing, i approved them and they are now in "awaiting payment". The guest let me know via message that they won't make the stay. I asked the guest if they could then please cancel the reservation but they said they do not have a button for that.
On my side I also have no option to cancel the reservation. This reservation is now blocking my calendar. I hope someone could help me!

call airbnb on the phone! You will probably have to wait a long time to reach a real person, but they will solve the problem immediately (usually). Don't know airbnb's phone number in your part of the world, try an online search for services like "get a person" or even "airbnb customer service phone number". Its listed somewhere in your account, and on occassion I find it, but most of the time it just frustrates me how I get the run around with their online help menu answering some question you don't have, and then asking if that answer answered your question.
@Jan226 Hopefully the communication you had with the guest was on the Air BNB message system so Air BNB is able to see your exchange. Contact Air BNB and explain the situation so they can cancel and open up your calendar. Here is a guide for contacting Air BNB

@Jan226 , your calendar will automatically get unblocked by Airbnb after 24 hours, annoying, but it will be cleared tomorrow. nothing you need or can do. Check about the different reservation statuses in the the help section, scroll down to "awaiting payment" :
