Reservation was for five adult guests. I’ve counted seven young children plus adults

How do I handle a guest who claimed they made a reservation for five adults and I’ve counted seven young children entering our house along with adults.

Hi @Kathy565 , you should send them a Change Reservation Request and add the children to the count.  Add a note explaining why, that the children must be listed for insurance purposes.  Or if it is too many people for your listing, ask if everybody is staying and if they are tell them you are not set up to handle that many people. You may have to explain that the children count as people. There are some people that don’t think their children count towards the reservation. You’ll probably have to remind them this is a home rental not a hotel. Good luck!
