Reservations slow for us(April in San Francisco)

We rent out a three bedroom/three bathroom home(with great reviews) yet it has been slower this season than in the past three years in San Francisco for us. We've lowered prices, too. Is there a lot more competition? Have other people been going through the same thing? Just curious.

Hi Louise and Jim,

It's been really slow for me, too, and I can't figure out what's going on. I have one booking for May  and none for June. Usually by this time of year (I've been a host for 4 years) I'm fully booked for June and July.

Some thoughts: most of my guests are European and there is economic struggle there now, maybe Airbnb's change in service fee for guests from 8% to a sliding 8-12% is making my listing more expensive or maybe there's more competition?

Depending on how new you are, you may not get as much traffic to your listing until you have a lot of reviews.
