Hi
I'm helping solve this for a friend who hosts.
When responding to text messages received from Airbnb guests via the Airbnb text service (eg responding to this text Airbnb:Ellen 'Hi nice to hear from you....') she is getting charged for sending an international text.
The guests are Australians in Australia and she is also in Australia with Telstra. On the bill the text number is a 10 digit number starting with 19 or 14 or 18 and are from the US. The 1 indicates it is from America. The number corresponds to numbers in her texts where she has responded to guest texts where they are sent via the Airbnb text service.
Any thoughts? Has it got anything to do with her setting of which country she lives in or the country her guests say they live in or something else.
She has only been hosting for a few months.
She has now turned off the SMS service and Airbnb and Telstra have not been helpful.
Thanks
