Response rate

I am a host trying for business status and that requires 90% approval rating. Until a recent booking, that I will describe, my response rate was 89%. Got a booking inquiry this week and replied within 5 hours. Questions back and forth and then the reservation was confirmed 23.5 hours after the initial inquiry. Then my response rate dropped to 88%. What is going on here?

@Shirley22 I never let a reservation request, or inquiry for that matter, go that long without taking some sort of action.  I've had many guests send a reservation request full of questions, and I've had questions for them too, but if I can't make a decision within 12 hours, I decline the reservation request all the while telling the guest that they are welcome to re-book  Can't say for sure, but responding with only 30 minutes to the deadline might have hurt your response rating.
