Sales Tax remittance by Airbnb to the State of Tennessee USA

Hello,

I am a new host on this platform.  I would like to know how Airbnb does the remittance of my sales tax to the State of TN.  What I am asking is how do they match my property with the remittance information.  I have an account already to submit tax but Airbnb has not asked me for the account number.  I want to make sure that they are submitting the correct amount and that it is somehow flaged for my specific property.  I have asked this 3 times in the last week to their customer service and they take my info and tell me that the appropriate person will get back to me which never has happened.  Very disapointed intheir  in depth service from them so far.

Airbnb is  charging on your listing these taxes (according booking form):

Thank you Emiel for your reply.  The link that you sent does not answer the question of how they match the sales tax to my property when remitting tax.   I want to know how the state knows that it is being paid for my cabin.  Do they pay it under my name?  Do they send the property address?  Is there an account number that they use and if so what is it?  I want to know how specifically they remit the tax.

I want to make sure 100% that they are remitting my tax.  If I call the Department of Revenue and ask them if Airbnb is sending them my tax they are going to ask me probably for an account number or something.  I want to know what that something is.   I have been renting my property for 8 years and submitting tax to the state under an account

What is Airbnb doing?

It seems to be the million dollar question that their customer service people can not answer.

Today I finally received my answer from Airbnb customer service specialist.  In the State of Tennessee sales tax is submitted in bulk to the Dept. Of Revenue.  No personal details are given to them.  Keep good records in case of any problems with an audit in the future.

Irma, did you ever get a straight answer? I asked the same in 2018 but got nothing. I contacted the TN Dept. of Revenue. They said Airbnb did a blanket payment and assisted me in closing my account for Sales & Use tax. My concern now is my Transaction report for October 2019 do NOT include Occupancy Taxes, aka Sales Tax. Does anyone know what's going on?

Unfortunately, I have the same problem.
