Separate but not legalized space in single family home--do 90 day restrictions apply?

Hello. I have a single family home in San Francisco with a separate, rentable but not legalized 2 bedroom/1 bath/kitchenette space in the lower level. Does this space count as a rooms within my home or is it considered an in law and limited to 90 days rental limit?

@Erin298 curious where you netted out on this?

@Fernanda843 -- Can you tell me where you ended up on this? Trying to figure out the same thing as you! Our units are connected from the inside and are on the same level. They also have separate entrances, and do have a separate kitchen and bathroom. Do I need to rent out only one room in order for it to be considered "hosted"?

Hi! It's my understanding that the unit needs to 1) connect to your home via an internal door 2) cannot have a full kitchen. Hope that helps!
