Settling in home currency

I live in Thailand

I travel in Thailand

I have a Thai Bank Account, Debit Card, Credit Card and PayPal account

My host lives in Thailand and is paid in the local currency THB

However, I get charged in USD from my THB account which then get converted from USD and then back into THB for the Host

This means that both me and the host loses out on the currency charges for what should be a simple transaction.

Looking at the comaprison to using hotels which simply charge in THB more compelling.

Is there any way that this can be changed / addessed ?
