I have 7 apartments so far, by the end of next year I should have 10. My question is for for those with many listings. Do you keep them all under one profile, or do you have more than one.
I saw a video the other day of a host who has many properties, he mentioned he has different profiles, each with a set amount of properties. He mentioned he does that because something could happen to an account he said when he had just one there was a software problem and he did not receive any payments for 2 months for his account. And now he has several because if something happens it doesn't block all hia properties. I already have 4 properties live on my account, 3 more are to go live in january. Should I put them on a separate account?
You will need airbnb's permission for multiple accounts as its against the terms of service.
This host has 1265 listings so I think you'll manage with 10.
...and others with 10,000+ listings, @Jeff158. Yet Airbnb is still forcing small, independent hosts to compete for business in the very same searches as these huge commercial operators. I's like putting a tiny local corner shop slap-bang in the middle of a massive retail park full of cut-price mega-stores, and somehow expecting it to survive.
No less interesting Cottages.com now has 1020 Reviews with 5 Star Average.
I flicked through the first 200 and many of them have no reviews.
Most if not all have less than 5 Reviews.
Yet there's quite a few among these that have lower averages than 5. Indeed a few have only 2, 3 or 4 stars.
How on earth can they be calculated at 5 Star average?
Moreover, Cottages.com does not have SuperHost badge as one would expect with 5 Star average. I recall when I last checked there were a few cancellations which would explain it.
It all seems a bit of gimmick.
My main worry is not getting payments for a long period, if I separate the apartments and an account gets blocked I still have the other one until the situation is resolved.
@Luana130 I can see the benefits in having two seperate hosting accounts. But would it make matters more complicated and stressful logging into two seperate accounts to manage communication, calendars, booking settings, etc?
