Should I seek extra $ for guest using 4 towels, 3 bars soap, 5 washcloths in 8 days?

I just had a guest who stayed for 8 days.  I'm new to hosting, but none of my other guests have used so many "resources" during their stay, not even the one who stayed 2 weeks.  She used 4 towels (and went into my linen closet and took my personal towels without permission), 5 washcloths (two of them were white and are no longer white), 3 full bars of Dove soap (which she also went into my cabinet to get...and one of them was in the trash barely used), and an entire box of disposable hand towels.  She also left a ton of trash behind even though I saw her take out 2 trash bags full of stuff to the back of the house.

Is this something you would seek extra compensation for?  Or do I just let it go?  And if I do pursue additional compensation, do I try to take it from the security deposit, or just send a money request?  And should I wait until after the review period to do so?

Absolutely not. I’m a host and I provide six bath towels eight hand towels and 10 wash cloths just for a two day stay.If they all get Used that doesn’t bother me at all.

I would suggest that you look me up and see if any of the young ladies I hosted are the same person. I had two just like that--using my sanitary napkins, eating family size (12oz.) bags of treats in one sitting, going through my personal belongings in my kitchen, bath, etc. and using for own purposes without asking permission. The list goes on--I need a nap!!

Holy cow...sorry to hear that.  It doesn't look like we have any guests in common LOL.

People can be rude and Overstep their bounds. Thankfully I have not had any of your issues but I do lock everything up that guests are not supposed to access. I fully stock their bedroom and bathroom and everything else is locked up. I even have a lock on my pantry in the kitchen

No. I would give guests more towels. I have one apartment that do we not have washer/dryer  I put 8 each of towel, hand towel and wash cloth. I also supply an extra set of sheets. And some extra pillow cases and towels in a plastic storage case in a wicker chest in case a guest uses all and I can't get laundry done.

I let guest know I will launder the linens but please do not use all and expect them back immediately. It could take up to 4 days. They have been great, this seems to work for me.

Make it clear in your house rules what is off limits.

I supply the big body wash, shampoo and conditioner. I look for it on sale or at the dollar store.

Good luck and happy hosting!
