Someone has fraudulently listed my address on their Airbnb listing

My husband and I just got a notice stating that we're in violation of our city's rental ordinances because we failed to obtain a short-term rental license for our property listed on Airbnb.

The problem is, we didn't list our house on Airbnb.

I contacted Airbnb help last night right after we got the letter. The person I chatted with said that she could confirm that there were no listings on my account, but that wasn't really very helpful - I knew that already, I've only ever used my account to book places to stay, never to host. She said that I would have to contact support from the account that the listing is on, and when I explained that I can't do that, because it's someone else's (likely a scammer) account and I don't have access to it. She then said she would forward my concerns to a different department and they would email me.

Just wondering if anyone out there has experienced this, and if so how you were able to resolve it.

@Jocey0  have you found the actual listing on airbnb.

Go to the listing and under the red "Book Now" button is a report this listing button and the same on the hosts profile.

Report them and get friends to do the same.

p.s. it could be the city that's got it wrong as the map is not accurate.
