Sudden Bank Account Error??

Sudden Bank Account Error??

Airbnb had been paying into my bank account for years.  Suddenly yesterday I get a message saying my bank account is incorrect (it wasn't everything was fine), but I removed the old one and added a new one as instructed.  Again overnight i received an error message.  The bank account is correct (and Airbnb has deposited into it very regularly over the past few years, nothing has changed) - why am I receiving this error and how do I fix it?  The details are correct, even though Airbnb keeps telling me there's an error???

I'm getting the same error message, I also received 2 emails in the last 24 hours telling me I need to change my payout method to get paid. I have 3 accounts listed and they have all worked for the last 18 months.  I contacted Airbnb and they apologised and said there system was experiencing difficulties and they were workibg hard to resolve the issue. It will be sorted ASAP. That sounds fine, however I haven't received any payouts for a week now, so I'm hoping it gets sorted soon.

thank you Chris. I hope it will be sorted soon. I am not getting payments either.

This has happened to us and many others just over the last few days (according to threads kn airbnb community).

last I heard from their help desk yesterday was they are working to resolve the issue but no word as yet today.

Yes the same for me, but if they know about it why don't they let us know about the issue by email instead of us having to search for an answer.

I'm also getting a few 'errors in payments' emails where I'm told that they have either underpaid or overpaid us.

I agree - as soon as they discovered the error, they should have emailed all affected to advise.

Airbnb ar holding $6000 of payments from me

Has anyone else been told to open a paypal account.

Why is airbnb not contacting all Australian hosts to explain there is an issue    ????????

I am getting this message also and it is also saying  Ihave to wait for a deposit of 3 cents to me made to verify; which will take 5 days.

I finally got paid yesterday - into my Paypal account which i added as a second payment option last Tuesday.  Hopefully you have all been paid too.

Technical issues happen and can't be helped, but what has been most frustrating about this is Airbnb knew there was an issue and did not advise us.  A simple email saying they had a problem and were working on it would have saved many of us from calling, emailing, posting here, contacting fellow hosts, not to mention the stress/worry about our bank accounts being compromised or wondering how/when we would get our money.  I just hope that if similar happens again, Airbnb will have the common curtesy to contact their hosts.

I received this message yesterday. but then this morning I received the other message that i have to update my bank account details again. Obviously not fixed yet!

Hi Jenni,

We recently experienced a delay that triggered an error for one or more of your payout methods. Good news—the error’s been fixed and payouts are on the way.

Thanks for waiting as we’ve resolved this issue.

Best regards,

The Airbnb Team

I just spoke to an AirBNB specialist, apparently they are aware of the problem.
Why are they keeping us in the dark? This is unacceptable. Airbnb must provide an explanation for the bank account errors. My bank account information has not changed. Can we trust that their technology platform & third party (WorldPay) partnerships are safe and reliable?

Seriously Concerned,
Markus
