What is the situation regarding hosts confidentiality re Airbnb and our business in regards to country governments and tax collections? ie Jamaica

Hi @Sue84 if Airbnb reaches an agreement with Jamaica to collect taxes on behalf of hosts, I'm sure Airbnb will notify you.  More and more local governments are waking up to the fact that they can impose hotel-type taxes on Airbnb rentals.  You might be interested to read these Airbnb articles to get some background on these taxes, also called Occupancy Taxes.
