The Louvre Contest and Danielle, in San francisco

Today, April 12, 2019, is our seventh wedding anniversary.

We were married and lived for years in Rarotonga, in the Cook Islands.

We have both visited and lived in many beautiful places around the world, including Paris.

But we have never been in Paris together.

We might have honeymooned there, but we lived in the middle of insane beauty where we lived, in the South Pacific.

There has never been a better place for us to honeymoon... until now, with Airbnb's Louvre Contest.

We painstakingly prepared our 800 character entry [below] and sat down today, with an hour remaining in the contest, which closed at 12:59 "CET" [Central European Time]. We have both lived in Europe [Judith is Swiss, so we were well familiar with the time difference from us here near San Francisco.

We even double checked online to be sure that we had time to submit.

So, we were taken aback when we tried to submit and saw that the contest was closed! 45 minutes before the deadline. We double and triple checked.

We know that the odds are very long, but we wanted the ritual of applying on our Anniversary, and we didn't want to give up.

So, I called Airbnb in San Francisco and got Danielle on the line.

To make a long story short, she was absolutely wonderful in her efforts to make sure that our submission was made. Of course, she's a witness - as is our correspondence - that we were on time, but somehow we still need to have our 800 characters - which we got to her - actually entered into the contest.

With her help, we are confident that this will happen, and we cannot thank her enough.

I had one the best stays of a long-travelled life last year in Buenos Aires, at the Youth Olympic Games. My Airbnb host was amazing, and the place was perfect.

Our experience today tops even that, though, because it confirmed our faith in the "kindness of strangers."

I think they call that society.

Thanks, Danielle.

And thanks, Airbnb, for supporting her.

Victor and Judith

Our submission:

We do not need to make up a crazy, creative, romantic story for you.

We ARE a crazy, creative, romantic story!

This would be a surprise honeymoon for my wonderful wife, Judith.

We have lived in and visited many fantastic places, including Paris… but not together. We have never been in Paris together.

Which is ironic because we met in another most beautiful place: Rarotonga, in the middle of the South Pacific.

Because we lived there, in insane beauty, there was no better place to honeymoon. Now, there is.

You see, Judith is an artist… a world-class artist: judithkunzleselect.com.

And I am a VR specialist: virtualsportsassociation.com.

We will share this with the world through her art, my technology, and every social media possible.

We are crazier than your offer… which makes us PERFECT.
