@Leslie718 Thanks for sharing this article, I'm really sorry to see Hosts in your area are faces such challenges! You mention compensation, could you let us know what you mean by that please? Have you discussed it with Customer Support already? 

It might be worth checking if there is a local Host Club near you as well, to discuss the matter with more Hosts directly affected by this change.

Sorry not clear from your post what damage was done to your property and why did Airbnb turn down your claim @Leslie718 ? 

sorry to hear you had these fraudulent guests - what were their previous reviews like? What vetting questions did you ask before accepting their booking? 

 local government is introducing restrictions as a result of STR rentals being used for parties , prostitution and drugs 

so as hosts we need to be vigilant in vetting guests and monitoring our listings through CCTV etc to ensure our properties are only being used by guests who have booked .
