Travel credit / Referral credit

I received an invitation to join AirBnB. I clicked on the link in the email, and I created an account. I went on to book my first trip, and I saw no travel credit. In my message box, there is a message, which claimed that I had not used the link in my email. If I didn't use it, how did I register? Also, in my mailbox, it says that the credit is only available to first time users. I am a first time user. What is going on?

i've the same issue and until now the Airbnb support team couldn't advise further on this. It's either you book the place (without the travel credit you suppose to get) or (wait until Airbnb replies) that you might be losing the place if fully booked later. Helpless...

Same thing happened to 3 people already in this week... Im so pissed off... my friends are hating me now!!!!!
