Trip expired and I can't rebook - needs a reset I think?

Hi Airbnb community. 

 

Can you help?

 

I sent a request booking to a host, it took a little time to review and agree the details so now the booking as expired.

The host and I are happy to make a booking on airbnb but for some reason he can't resend a offer. I tried starting again. But can't re book as the dates are saying not available. 

 

The host assures me that there is noone else booked in for those dates.....he's tried to cancel things at his end but its still not working. 

 

What do we do - I want to book through airbnb ?

I think something has gone wrong during the booking process.  It the host failed to approve your request within the timeframe given, the dates will block automatically.  Perhaps take a look at the host's calendar and see what it looks like from your end.  If the dates are indeed blocked, you would need to ask the host to contact airbnb with the issue and possibly have the dates unblocked.  Then you would have to send a new request.

If you have things to discuss with a host, send an inquiry rather than a booking request using the "contact host" button.
