URGENT! Need to refund for reservation after cancellation

I listed a property on behalf of the company I work for to rent out during the Masters Golf Tournament, and literally hours after we received our first reservation for this, I was told to remove it because the owner no longer wanted to rent it out this way. From what I understood, if I was the one to cancel the reservation and listing, It would refund him the money immediately, well I just received a message from him indicating that it had not happened. I do not see an option to send refund, so what am I missing? Did I do something wrong? Please help!

Unfortunately it takes airbnb upto 10 days to process a refund.

Your guest could find another listing on airbnb, ring customer service to book and the money will be transfered immediately to the new booking. If the guest also have a moan about how inconvenient it's been, they might get 10% off the new booking.
