My account was recently hacked and used by someone from a UK IP address. I was notified via email that my Airbnb account email address had been changed. I was not able to reset my password but oddly I could log in to my account using the 'Login with Google' option. I did so and changed my password.
I noticed a booking had been made and also several messages exchanged with the host using my account. I have called a service number and the Airbnb staff are hopefully refunding this fraudulent transaction. I have just noticed that the booking was made for tonight, and whomever made it looks to have checked into the property. I have contacted the host via Airbnb and advised them that whoever is staying in their property is doing so fraudulently and that they should contact the police.
I would appreciate an update on my refund for the fraudulent transaction and also any indication that the host who has this person staying with them will be helped out. Please contact the police for the booking reference: 294QDD
