Unable to travel due to visa issue

HI Guys, 

 I booked a trip of 8 days to London but could not get visa on time. Now, I want to cancel the booking but lose all the money as it is under strict cancellation policy What are my options?

The first thing to do is cancel the booking asap.

Well you only lose your money if you booked a Strict listing and it is less than 5 days before you go, so you will get something back.

Have you contacted your Travel Insurer?

@Vishal11 - Assuming that your travel plans were supposed to be within one week, there is not much you can do except ask the host to have mercy and refund you some money from their own pocket.  This is why cancellation policies are put in place because the host would be out not only the rental money but the opportunity to rent based on the last minute cancellation. Some hosts will refund you the days that they can rent the property after your cancellation, but you have to ask them and they aren't obligated to do so. Unfortunately, not being able to secure a Visa to travel does not meet the Extenuating Circumstances policy.
