Unfair to be penalized for a first time instant booking cancellation

I posted my place and looked and when I seen the listing appeal bar I decided to try some of the tactics to see if it helped. I unknowingly turned the instant booking bar on and then forgot to turn it off. I was merely switching it on to see if it actually increased the appeal but I simply forgot to untoggle it.

I am very surprised that airbnb did not explain the reprecussions of cancelling an instant booking at the time of toggling the feature on/off. I understand that the feature is highly appealing to attract visitors to the platform but it has left me feeling cheated as a host. My feedback is that if you are going to install punitive measures for your hosts if they cancel using such a feature you should ensure a first time host is given ample warning of the consequences at the time of switching it on or off.

If you visit Host Voice in the discussion bar at the top of the page, you will see several ideas to help hosts understand the implications of using Air as new hosts, I have added one of them myself as we see the same questions here on the forum again and again. Air is looking at the new ideas, so make sure you give a thumbs up if you feel any of those ideas would have been helpful to you.
