Guests booked our property for one week, we found drug chemicals, the swell was so bad everything had to be washed twice in disinfectant.

We will never use airbnb again. After telling us we were covered by a $500 bond.  This is not true. I sent photos, receipts for lock change wheb they didnt return the keys and a full account of what happened. Initially airbnb were very nice and said how sorry they were about what happened to us. 

I just received an email from them and they have closed the file!! They lied to me, they do not care and drop you like a hot potato when something goes wrong. Never again...too risky and they will not support you when you need them.  Think twice before you trust airbnb after what happened to me. I have spoken to a lot of people who have similar stories.

I am devastated at the damage and only claimed the $500 bond. Guess what it doesnt exist in my opinion.

There is no bond as such and I agree you need a real security deposit.
