we have just had a host stay, who ought to know better, 5 stars on everything except  4 stars just on location and check in yet 3 stars overall.

@Kevin1322  Yeah, getting someone to book a couple nights his place and giving him a little payback would be fitting karma. Make sure they know to use up as many amenities as possible and hopefully can find something to complain about that warrants a full refund from from Airbnb 🙂

As  total aside, I just looked at your listing for the first time and was surprised to see Mexican furniture. I have almost the same bedside tables (even down to the hardware) but mine have a drawer on the top and a cupboard on the bottom, rather than a second drawer.

@Sarah977  You spotted the Mexican furniture!  I'm so pleased. When I was younger I worked in the Mexican Gulf offshore, so spent some time in the area. And just fell in love with the style.  We have a lot of mexican stuff including hand made kitchen tiles, which we had sent from mexico.  The furniture is made in the UK but is fairly true to the style I think. 

Locally in our village we have embraced Día de los Muertos more than haloween, and this has really been taken up by the yougsters.

Isn't it great to join in in celebrating what different cultures have in common.

@Kevin1322  Well, you probably got better quality if it was actually made in the UK, just copying the Mexican style. That "rustic" Mexican furniture here- the hinges are often falling off even before it gets out of the store 🙂 Poorly sanded, as well. I had to resand, seal, and put beefier screws in the hardware of everything I bought here. But hey,. the bedside tables were only 400 pesos- the equivalent of $20US, so what can you expect.

Isn't that bizarre- we have almost the same bedside tables, half a world apart.

Yea, I'd feel quite at home with that furniture!  Literally!
