Weekly Discounts

I tried setting up a 20% weekly discount, but the system said that I must create a monthly discount for at least this amount.

We do not allow stays of 30 days or more (California legal stuff relating to tenant rights) so how come Airbnb won't let us create a weekly discount without forcing us to create something that we won't do?

Airbnb tends to force hosts to look for ways round, @Steve_Karen1. Do not contemplate its logic, there are more important things to do. 😉

Thanks!  Our weekly discounts are very popular on HomeAway, so if Airbnb wants to compete (and earn more money), they should allow weekly discounts and forget about monthlies.

@Steve_Karen1, you can set up a monthly discount and still keep your maximum stay at 27 days of less.

Just because you have a monthly discount doesn't mean to have to allow anyone to use it.

It is sort of like setting up the "per guest" fee of $35 / person over 6 when your maximum capacity is only 4: you do it because the AirBnB system wants you to do it, not because it will ever be used.
