'What factors determine how my listing shows up in search results'

Hi. I have reviewed the links for the above topic. I have had discussions about this with Airbnb last year and was given responses ranging from " That is weird, I can't find your listing either' to ''Its an algorithim thing'. I am not satisfied with anything that has been 'explained'. I have to enter very specific search criteria before my listing (sometimes) shows up. I continually test this and my listing more often than not does not show up with any ease. To add to my concern, I notice that some hosts have two or three listings and they all show up on the same, first page! Some of these are very clearly running a business with multiple units. How are they getting priority (multiple listings by same host on first page)?

I would really appreciate hearing if anyone else has had this issue and if they were able to get a straight answer / solution from Airbnb?

Thanks!

@Tricia81

you are superhost,  5 years on Airbnb so I don't think you will hear  something you don't already know

You don't have instant booking enabled, so, when you search do you search with or without "instant book" filter? Listings with instant book option are always positioned higher. Are your prices considerably higher than others? Do you have enough activity on your listing?
