What homes are prohibited from hosting in NYC according to the new law?

I just decided to put one of my units on AirBnB but, after researching about the whole process along with the pro's and con's, i am reading about this new law in NYC.  I would like to know what homes are not allowed to host guests?  Are people being affected by this law and in what ways?  I have a owner occupied 2 family home in Brooklyn.

I know this post is really old, but did you ever find clarification?  I also have a 2-family home and live in 1 unit and want to airbnb the 2nd unit.  The law is confusing

Have you looked at the information on your city council website re STRs? They have detailed information on how the legislation works including what sort of property you can STR @Emily1616 .
