What should I expect when a payment has not gone through?

Since I am a new host, I don't know if this delay is normal. A guest checked in on january 11th through the 21st and the payment was supposed to appear in my airbnb info on the 19th. Today is the 26th and it still is pending. Is this common? What should I be expecting?
