When did breakfast become an added amenity?

I use AirBnB to occassionally let out one holiday lodge. When I signed up, there was no option for breakfast and if there was we would not have selected it, as we provide self-catering accomodation. Today, a cusotmer has arrived and asked about breakfast. After digging through the listing, I eventually found the tick box. When did AirBnB add this? And how did they determine it should be ticked?

Not happy, as we now have an unhappy customer..... which means AirBnB has an unhappy customer: me!

@Wooda0  The breakfast amenity option has been there since I started hosting almost 3 years ago. But it's always a good idea to check all your settings on a regular basis, as they do add things and sometimes things get ticked seemingly on their own, or changed without the host having done it.

Hi Sarah,

Thanks for your reply. We started hosting over 3 years ago and hardly use AirBnB. We only really use it when we have the occassional gap in bookings. Have never seen or noticed the Breakfast option before and would never have selected it, but good advice to keep a careful watch on the account. Fortunately, the customer seems to be happy and realises it was a genuine error.
