Why can't people who cancel their stay due to a complaint / inaccuracy NOT leave a review?

How is it transparent to the community if people who have negative experiences with hosts and need to cancel their stay are unable to leave a review?

Because a guest would not be able to evaluate the host in ALL categories, and thus it would give the guest a chance to leave an unfair review, @Jessica547.

@Jessica547, guests who cancel their stay on the day of check-in or later actually CAN leave a review.

But if the cancellation is earlier than the day of check-in, then the guest cannot leave a review.

Your question is not clear to me.  Did you cancel during your stay or after check-in ? If so, you should be able to leave a review.

If you have not been or stayed, you cannot leave a review as it is impossible to review a property you have never set foot in or a host you have never met.
