Why do guests from France not consider children as guests?

There is a holiday weekend in May where the French like to get together with friends and family. I accommodate 15 so I have had a ton of enquiries yet EVERY SINGLE ONE has told Airbnb 15 guests and in the message said we are 15 adults 4 children and 3 infants. Or can we bring airbeds? When I’ve asked why they are trying to book for 22 when I state 15 max they say ‘oh but Airbnb wouldn’t let me put in any more than 15 for your property.’ So they can clearly see the capacity yet choose to ignore it. I don’t want Airbnb to see me declining so many enquiries yet I have to. Have any others had this from French guests?

It's not just the French, people in general don't read the full advert, they see what they want to see and then try booking. My villa can sleep upto 31 people, but sometimes I will get a request stating just 1 person, then I find out there are 21 people, that is NOT the same price.

The French are lazy about filling in the amount of adults and children, they tend to just put the number of 'total people', or worst when they just put 1 person... when they are a big group. But the problem with that is that the airbnb calculator only goes up to 16 people maximum so is unable to calculate the right price, if there are 17 or more.

The fact that airbnb added a new button to calculate the number of babies is pretty useless, because as far as I am concerned for me that means they will be bringing their own baby bed, which doesn't concern me in the slightest. Yet I do have a baby bed available (which is an extra fee) but this is not part of the airbnb calculation... WHY NOT?

The new problem is that airbnb now pays the local tourism tax on my behalf (since July 2018) which will make the French HAVE to put in the right amount of adults and children since children don't pay a tourism tax. But this might encourage people to put that there are more children and less adults, to avoid paying the local tax (which is 75 centimes per adult per night). But still the question is, how will airbnb calculate the right amount when their calculator only goes up to 16 people???
