Why does Airbnb refuse to hold Security deposits for hosts & support host w rental agreements.

Why won’t Airbnb collect security deposits and hold them like every other platform online? Additionally back hosts up when they have problem guests who break rental agreements that we would charge fees for?? Or extra guests, excessive laundry etc.
