Why is the day blocked when the guest has not done the payment
I accepted a reservation request for a day in January 2017 via Airbnb. But after accepting the requst the guest did not proceed with the payment due to a Credit Card issue. But the date was blocked for the whole 24 hour period and i think that is unfair because during that period no one is able to book as the day is made unavailable for other guests by airbnb and I'am unable to contact the Airbnb also regarding this. What is the solution for this?
Hi @Nimal1 Airbnb allows 24 hours for a guest to complete the payment process in fairness to the guest. More often than not, the booking is completed and everything is fine. If problems arise, after 24 hours it is freed up for others to book. Not a bad system IMHO.
