hi all!
2 weeks ago the airbnb photographer came to my apartment to take the photos. He said he sent them to airbnb but so far nothing, they haven't been uploaded.
I don't know how this works, not sure why he didn't give them to me, i'd have uploaded the same day. Also, is there an official help desk from airbnb besides the community? if there is, it must be well hidden in the website.
Anyways, what do you guys think about the photos not been uploaded yet after 2 weeks?
I didn't know Airbnb has photographers going around taking pictures. I didn't come across to any information about it on their website either. I assumed every host posts their own photographs of their property.
@Jansin yes they do sometimes but it depends if they offer it in your country, availability of freelance photographers, if you are eligible etc. - have a look at this link for a bit more info. Host's generally take their own photos but sometime use this service as well if available - https://www.airbnb.co.uk/help/article/298/what-happens-after-i-request-professional-photography

The length of time it takes depends on how busy this service is. The photographer could not give the picture to you because his contract is with AIRBNB, since they sent him out to you, he reports back to then or in this case sends the photos to them, in addition by using their free photography service, you agreed they have the rights to the photos so another reason why it has to go to them to approve.
After the photographer submits the photos to ABB, they have a team review all the photos to ensure it is in line with their legal requirements especially as they will be putting a stamp to it an verifying them, this sis where you tend to get a delay sometimes. If all approved, they upload it to your listing and you can choose which you wish to keep or not. They will also send you an e-mail informing you once these have been uploaded. It can take up to 4 weeks although their literature states less.
So your photos will be with you soon but it is not a priority so you just need to wait to receive it. Hope this clarifies the process.

I had mine taken about 2 weeks ago as well. It was mentioned on the Airbnb website that it takes 2 weeks or more for them to review and pick the photos that are suitable, my photographer told me the same thing as well.
So far I have yet to receive any news on the photos taken, still patiently waiting & hoping they'll turn out great...I'm using photos taken from my phone camera at the moment
I had mine done earlier this year and it took about six weeks for BNB to approve them. Very happy with them though.
