calendar- opening dates

i had blocked out dates through VRBO for a returning guest.  Their plans have changed. I am no longer using VRBO so cannot go online and open the dates through VRBO.  i've opened the dates on Airbnb but the next day they are again blocked.  i know i've lost potential guests as it took me two weeks to realize that.  it's only now that i have a 3 night potential guest, that it has come to my attention.  how can i make them stay open untiled rebooked?

Hello @Kathy180,

It sounds like your Airbnb and VRBO calendars are synchronised.

You can check your Airbnb calendar and remove synchronisation if you  imorted the VRBO calendar to the Airbnb one.

Go to your calendar and click on "Manage settings" in the top right corner. Then click on "Availability".

Now scroll down to the "Sync calendars" section. if there is a VRBO calendar import entry click on the little bin icon next to it to delete the entry.

If there isn't such an entry you'll have to contact Airbnb customer service.
