cancellation - dates blocked

I'm a host. One of my guests requested cancellation of the reservation, I wanted to help them so i canceled It. Now this dates are blocked. Why is this happening. How can I change this?

NEVER cancel a reservation on request of a guest ! Now you are penalised:

The dates will remain blocked.
