cancellation fee

I was asked by a guest to cancel her reservation so she would not have to pay.  I got the request thru Airbnb to do so and I did.  Now I see that I have been "fined" $100 for complying with her request.  this seems unfair and inapppropriate.  How do I get this reversed?  I am new to this process.  Janet

@Janet172  There are consequences when you cancel, punitive ones. Rule number one, is never hit the cancellation key.

Perhaps you can call airbnb helpline, plead you case for clemency with the top excuse 'I didn't have a scooby'
