cancellation

Hi I just want to check something. My guests need to leave because of illness in the family. I'm happy to accept but I have read somewhere that if they cancel they have to leave straight away. They informed me that they want to leave in 3 weeks. Should I discuss this with them before I accept the changes?

It sounds as if this is a long booking & that they may already be there, or that they will at least still be staying for some of the time.  My suggestion would to be not to cancel the booking, but for them to amend it as it is possible to make changes to the dates

Sorry, my previous mssg ended so abruptly - the screen froze & I couldn’t edit!  I hope that I understood the issue correctly & my suggestion is helpful - I haven’t done this myself but hope it’s possible!
