changing the place of booking

My booking does not start in 3 months. The booking has a moderate policy in cancellations.  But now I found a better and cheaper place. Can I cancel the current reservation to book on the better and cheaper place? There is a policy that states that: " If a guest books a reservation that overlaps with any part of an existing reservation, we won’t refund the Airbnb service fee if they decide to cancel." So if I cancel first the current reservation and then book the new one right after, would I still violate the said policy?

Yes you can.  As long as you cancel the first reservation before you book the other one, you will be fine.
