@Lizandra5

Allthough Airbnb considers any reservation for 28 nights and longer as "long term stay", in practice i would consider a 1 month stay as a "medium stay". Regarding cleaning it depends also on what kind of accommodation you are offering..When it is a room with shared spaces, It means you have to inspect/clean shared spaces (bathroom, kitchen etc..) regurarly. If it is a whole appartment,guests can be more self supporting, but equipment and cleaning material must be available. Make clear appointments about cleaning-expectations, so there will be no misunderstanding (leading to bad reviews...)

Best regards,

Emiel

@Lizandra5  Some hosts advise making it clear in your listing that you go in once a week to do a quick clean and change out bedding and towels. If you decide to do this, don't let it be a "choice"- it's just the way you run your business and if they don't like it, they can book elsewhere. 20-30 minutes should be sufficient- you're not doing a total clean, just a quickie.

Of course, you have to arrange a time to do this which fits your schedule and doesn't inconvenience the guest. Don't mess around with or move the guest's belongings, just attend to anything cleaning-wise that needs attention.

This can alleviate your worry and also lead guests to respect the space, as they know you'll be coming in once a week. If you encounter a guest who you can see is really clean and tidy, you can always ask them if they'd prefer that you didn't come to clean, and if you see that they are total pigs who are actually damaging things, you could get the rest of their stay cancelled if you think that's warranted.

It is best to state in your listings what your cleanliness expectations are for guests.

Leave them appropriate PPE and cleaning solutions.

Having a discussion asking if guests would prefer cleaning their own space or having the host clean and what would be the best schedule.

We hope this helps.
