early check in and late check out

I need some feedback on early and late check ins.  Does anyone charge extra for those service.

@Alex1046 A lot of hosts do charge for late checkout or early check-in. For our property, we have decided not to and offer it to the guest as a complimentary service when we can. If we have back to back guests we do not offer it due to needing the time to clean.

I think it creates a better guest experience when they are not charged extra fees.

Airbnb is not recommended the host charge an extra fee outside the platform.

Check-in early fee or either check out late fee is not advisable. 

The host can charge an extra fee related to the reservation by the Resolution Center.

You can open it by going to  www.airbnb.com/resolutions and there you will see how to step by step.

However, the guest can decline the request.

Therefore, the host needs to communicate with the guest before sending the request.

Acknowledge the guest in advance is much appreciated.

We have a 48 hour buffer between bookings, and allow our guests to check-in and checkout at 2 p.m.  So, they get a full 24 hours stay on their final day. I charge one-half of the nightly rate for up to six hours for either an early check-in or late checkout.
