Hi, I had made a reservation a long time ago to stay again at a place I really liked for a workshop in town. I received email reminders from airbnb about the trip as expected. I messaged the host to let her know I was arriving in two hours. She messaged me back in a panic. They had sold their house. She assured me that she had followed all the steps to cancel my listing and that airbnb had told her that I would be notified of the cancellation. I was not. I found the only other available airbnb in the town that cost double what I wasplanning to pay. How can I contact airbnb to get compensation for the additional expenses? This was very upsetting to both me and the original host. thanks, Aimee

Yes! They reimbursed me for almost all of my costs. That was a relief.
