Is this a scam?  I don't want to change my rating by not responding to a reservation request, but this seems like a scam.

@Jennifer1763

Is it a request or an inquiry ?

Request: answer something and ask sender to withdraw the request

Inquiry: answer with something and remove from dashboard.

Seems to me commercial activities, but i would report the message (use the "flag" link in it) to Airbnb.

Best regards,

Emiel

It is a scam. We have gotten at least 25 hostgigzme messages in the last two months. We have contacted Airbnb several times about this and it seems they are powerless to do anything about this. We usually get them in bunches of 4 or 5, we report them as scams. AGGRIVATING.

@Jennifer1763  Tons of hosts have been reporting these. Such dicks to put this in as booking request. Contact Airbnb to report it and to make sure they don't dock you for not responding to it and also flag it as Spam..

Not sure what they are trying to phish for but it sure is annoying.  We got two of these with almost identical text about photography and improving our listing.  Came through the Airbnb message system.  Both were new user profiles with only email verification. Reported them both, first user has since been removed from air.
