how do i change the language in which I receive e-mails from Airbnb?

I used to receive e-mails from Airbnb in English. However, nowadays the e-mails I recieve from Airbnb are in French. Does anybody know how I could change this so I can receive them in English again?

@Monica25  Hi Monica....I see that you are an experienced host so you have do doubt tried this but, often the simplest things pass us by!

While logged on to your home page, go to your 'profile' section and scroll down to 'languages' and make sure the nominated language matches that which you require....be it English or Spanish....Cheers....Rob

Yes, it is the app that suddenly changed, not when login onto computer. Airbnb needs to fix it.

Mine had changed to French when I opened it this morning. 

 

I deleted the app from my phone and then reinstalled and logged back in again, so now it's back to English.

 

Took just two minuts, but still unnecessary.

We were in Vietnam for two weeks in March 2018. We have been back in the US for two weeks.  My profile language is set to English, but emails sent from others in the US are still coming in Vietnamese.  Really?! So lame.

I have already went and gone to account and global preferences set to english but still some of my airbnb email is sent in Indonesian.  I was hoping there can be a fix to this.

Same problem here.  My emails keep coming in Dutch instead of English like before.  My boyfriend is Dutch and he uses my account in Holland BUT that app is set to English just like mine.  I did talk to somone from Airbnb and they basically did the samething I, and you, did which was to reset the account to English.  It worked for a bit when they did it but it's back again to Dutch.

For some reason, AirBnB seems to want me to learn Russian. I've changed my preferred language back to English a couple of times in my profile, but it keeps going back to Russian. Hmmm.

Same problem - messages outgoing and replies via Airbnb website are in English (setting on my profile) as are texts but messages to my email address are in Russian.   This will be a problem when I travel as I will be looking at emails via my phone, not messages via the website.  My profile already says english.  How do you get a reply from Airbnb on this?

You can't. The web version is **bleep**e. Best use the web version.

This is mostly like due to your account being hacked. I started getting emails in Russian as well and I noticed that my account had a login from Russia. I changed my password and then the language preference under the profile section.

Hi everyone! I'm not even sure what language the emails in my inbox are written in but I *guess* is Turkish (needless to say, I don't speak Turkish). Have you guys found a solution for this annoying problem? Thank you!

This is how you handle messages that are not in your language.  You discard them.  If they can't type in your language how are they going to read your house rules?  How are you going to give them directions to your house?  How are you going to tell them to not leave the toilet paper on the ground after they use it?

The problem is all communication from Airbnb is in Russian (it's not that users are typing in Russian). It's clearly a bug, as others have stated they've changed the language back to English multiple times and it keeps switching back (to Russian for me).
