how to direct guests to find house manual, house rules, check in info, directions

I request that potential guests review the house manual before booking.  However, I don't see this on my listing at the pre-booking stage, how will they see this before requesting a booking?

@Rebecca830  House Rules are available pre-booking. House Manual is only available post-booking

@Rebecca830 anything vitally important for your potential guests should be in your house rules or listing description so the guests can get an understanding of your listing before booking.

 

The house manual & directions are accessible after booking. They should also be saved ss a standard message template (along with your house rules) that you can email your guests once they have booked. I do this a couple of days before my guests check in.

 

I also have the house manual printed for my guests with some extra brochures/tourist things for the area. My international guests appreciate it, as the printed manual has the wifi details so they don't need to pay for data to read my email on how to access the wifi 🙂

In the email I send before they check in, with the code for the door,  I mention there is an online house manual and a printed one which will be on the kitchen table. I tell them to feel free to browse the online manual before check-in, in order to familiarize themselves with it. I don’t want to *tell* them they have to.

 

The same emails says that  they will find the Wi-Fi password at the back of printed house manual.

 

I repeat the info about the password being in the back of the manual in a handwritten welcome note I leave on the table.

 

I figure this will force them to at least leaf through the manual, so they know what types of information it contains

@Julie143 I put the house rules on the first page and the wifi password under that, so the guest can't say they didn't see the house rules 😉
