how to increase bookings-compared to last year

Hello fellow hosts,

We are in our second year of hosting and we are loving it.  Last year, we were booked solid for this time of the year (spring  break) but this year, we have hardly had any inquiries or bookings. Can anyone help with suggestions or tips for us?  Thank you!

It may be a combination of more and more hosts flooding the marketing and decreasing demand.

Who do you see as the key target audiences for your place i.e. families with young children, young professionals enjoying a city or coastal break. Use that information  to work out what channels will be best to reach that market.

In general terms list your place with three or four relevant listings companies, to increase your exposure.

Speak to your local tourist information about how you can partner with them to raise your profile including advertising on their website.

In you have the time and understanding of how to market your place online you can set up your own website and social media and invest in online and social media advertising to drive traffic to your website.
