Hi, i have recently received and letter from the council that my guests are loud even during the day and the level of noise is higher then the EPA regulations so i like to know does anuybody have a contract signed by guests before they enter the property as i dont want to be taken to court by council. As should be the guests responsibility.
Any idea of law and regulations? If taken to court by council then the cost is apparently $15.000 being told by lawyer.
@Jess170 I don't think any guest would sign that contract, and if you do ask them that you need to have it fully disclosed in your description so that they know before they book, which I think will decrease your bookings. And do people from the city council come and measure the levels on every guest? I can't imagine how would they do that with every property that rents on Airbnb. I would guess your problem is with some neighbor. I would try to find out if someone reported you, and would contact each guest letting them know that they have some rules to follow. Probably not every guest is that loud. And if you do make them. sign a contract how will they measure their levels of loudness, will you provide some sort of measuring tool ( whatever that might be)?
