How do we prevent an AirBNB message to be cutoff after only a few words?
@Delaney0 Are you referring to a notification message? If so, those will always be truncated if long. They are just notifications of messages that are waiting for you in your airbnb inbox. Nor can those notification messages be replied to. I don't know if this helps, you didn't really give much info.
the messages I am referring to are the way we are to communicate with the guests on airBNB.
Very often the guests state that they did not get the entire message I sent and I will have to
shorten my text next time I send.
@Delaney0 you can send a message that is a long as you want and it won't get cut off.
What is being cut off is the short summary that is sent by SMS to notify the guest that you sent a message.
The guest is supposed to log into the Airbnb app or web site to read the entire message.
So if I am sending a long message while on the app or from my computer in the SMS box and the message is cut off to our guest, the receiver may not be on the app or on a computer?
If I direct them to open the app or be on their computer on the AirBNB site, they will receive the whole message?
Thanks for your help.
Thanks for your help.
@Delaney0 Are you using the phone app? I don't use it, so can't advise on that, but I read here that some people have problems with it. If you send your messages to guests via the desktop version, your guests should receive the full message. I've sent and received quite long ones, no problem.
