I had a great mother-daughter from England stay on an Airbnb booking from November 11 to November 20 for 9 days in my home in Kolkata (Calcutta). I normally receive a payout notice on the second day with direct payment into my bank account. I waited for 5 days and contacted Airbnb. No one at the text chat or phone call centre could tell me why, except that it had been held up for technical reasons. I called again the next day and insisted on speaking to a supervisor who asked for 7 more bank working days. I contacted Airbnb again today, November 27, since that time too is up. Today I was told by one call centre operator that he would let me know in 48 hours. I was not satisfied and called again. The second operator admitted an error on their part and said that payment would be made into my bank account with Airbnb in 48 hours. I can only hope for the best.
Another guest had come on the 21st, stayed for 5 days and Ive received that payout. What can hosts in my situation do?
