photos on desktop site

I have really nice professional photos of my place, that look great on the airbnb app but get cropped in strange ways on the airbnb website listing....and look awful! Can i change this without affecting how they look on the app?

Your listing is super cute!

Yeah, images get cropped. You can chose an image that will crop differently, but in the search function the whole image appear as you want it to appear, so when people find you through the search function, they will have seen the whole of your main image, not the cropped image. That's first shown when they click on your listing, together with other (cropped) images. So the first impression is still the uncropped image. Does that make sense?

Desktop and App images look identical. Main page of listing doesn't have any cropping of first 5 featured images.
