"Private room" with no locks and a door that can be opened just by a single push.

Essentially a slab of wood on hinges and the door handle does not even function. My female friend is staying in Manchester and worried about her safety since she will be staying there alone. She attempted to contact the host who said that hundreds of guests had no problems. Although, as a host myself, I hardly believe that guests will have no problem with a door that do not even close properly, since I added locks to my doors at numerous requests by guests at my own expense and ensure that the door actually closes.

Is there anything can be asked from a host such as a lock or at the minimum a functioning door that can not be opened without the turning of handles.

Here is the picture of the door: (Essentially the wedge is no longer extending and hence making is useless.)
